Be careful this time of year as winter approaches if you have any vacant properties! If you do, it’s vital to drain-down the property of all water, insulate all pipework and turn off the mains water supply. I know this seems obvious, but we were called out last year to this vacant property and others, where pipes had frozen and burst. We located and mended the burst pipes, then refurbished the damaged property, but this could have been prevented.
